[TCR] Gaming | EMPIRE ISLAND

For the Island Resort Contest. View images above.

This island is made for the PM contest and the main theory is that two of the headland areas are used. this is how they are used:

Pinewood headland:
- Luxury living accommodation
- Classic [TCR] style metro station
- Houses built in a variety of vibrant and interesting styles, which are all original.
- Beautiful landscaping and clever use of space.

Castle headland:
- A point of interest on the island, for people staying at the Pinewood headland to visit.
- accessible by [TCR] classic styled metro system.
- Large and imposing building.
- Vibrant and intensive colors and decor.

Main island:
- Untouched to make the island perfect for exploring, as Minecraft is all about exploration and survival we thought that it would be best to keep the center of the
island natural, as building the whole thing up will ruin the fun. Trust us from that we can tell you that from experience.

ALTHOUGH THIS MAP WAS BUILT BY TWO PEOPLE ON A PRIVATE SERVER, NO AIDS SUCH AS WORLD EDIT WAS USED AND NO PLUGIN FEATURES WERE CONSTRUCTED SUCH AS bLift LIFTS OR TELEPADS.

This map is available for anyone to download and explore. The main purpose is as an entry for the PM Island Resort contest. Enjoy!

Try not to go so big - concentrate on build quality and then gradually extend.
Also, do not try to do curvy paths, it always looks bad with MC chunks, keep the paths straight. It may seem like a silly idea, but look at our island, we know it works from experience.

Try not to scatter your stuff around the island too much, as that then means you then have to build a massive great rail system to link all the places together. I have seen you have used paths to make bridges to do this. As i said, curved paths look bad enough, but when they are floating above the ground and making the landscape look ugly... NO GO MATE!

Apart from that I really like your project, especially the round houses in the sea connected by the curvy paths. I think you have made good use of attempting curvy paths in that instance, any other time though just don't do it.
