When I was very young, a toddler having only just figured out how to walk, I became obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and trains!!! Most kids get excited for these things too but back then Thomas was my lively hood haha. Living in the north of England in the county of Lancashire, I was in the heart of the industrial area of mainland Britain which meant TRAINS WERE EVERYWHERE!! and still are too!! I would visit a heritage line called the East Lancashire Railway most weekends with my parents and during the event weekends, they'd bring me to the 'Day out with Thomas' experience. And let me tell you, IT WAS EXPERIENCE!! I mean I'm still talking about it to this day so that tells you everything you need to know haha.

That brings me onto today's tutorial, building a steam engine in Minecraft!! But not just any old steam train, no no no. This is ‘Gothenburg’ a 32 Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clarke No.680
Class 0-6-0T. Or as I know it, Thomas the Tank replica hahaha. This was the train my family and I would take up and down the line until it would retire for the day. Such an incredible piece of engineering and I feel highly honoured today to be able to teach you all how to build this in my own Minecrafty way!!
