Tian Seraph was commissioned by the Abaddon Military as an air to air and air to ground cruiser to cope with the arms race and was taken into service shortly after it was air capable, with workers still finishing the interior. At the time Abaddon's defensive forces were outdated and was in dire need of more modern equipment. The fleet was at that time a minority and largely outdated. A solution came on a discovery by chance that a certain chemical mixture based off of lava, blaze rods and ender dragon magic could keep an otherwise inert structure as this capable of sustained flight. Like the blaze monsters and ender dragons it is floating in the air rather than actually flying. With the access to this knowledge the ship was quickly drafted and built by ACS to accommodate the military threat assessment.
The Tian Seraph was named after two separate flying deities both being 'guardians of the skies'. It measures 118x15 blocks and was at the time before the height regulations were altered, pretty much as big as could be flown above ground.
Fun facts:
This is a survival build. The materials were gathered by hand, and gangways were erected to allow construction. 27 people lost their lives in the construction phase. It is possible to turn the main engine on and off, with the smaller engine being online constantly to keep it afloat.
At the time this was built, world map was currently in use. As it was a military project and we wanted to keep it secret, a temporary hangar was built to house the construction. Made out of sand in a desert, unless you were looking straight at it you would have missed the 130x127x30 cube of sand standing in a random desert. We estimated that around 300 stacks of sand where used to make it, and then torn down for use in other places.
