Introduction

Hello Planet Minecraft! For the past 4 months, my friend Penge567 and I have been working on a large-scale replica of Traverse Town from Kingdom Hearts 1! Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite game series, and one day I decided to do a replica. It started out small, but it soon became something huge. I even added my own districts to connect the areas in the game. I also started to make all the buildings accessible, and I added tons of chests around the city, and before I knew it, the project was becoming something huge. About 2 months in, I invited my friend Penge567 to start helping me out, because I wanted to surround the city with mountains, and he had world edit. Once I realized what he could do, me and him started adding tons of stuff to the city, and he really sped up the process and made Traverse Town bigger than it was before. We added large walls, a museum, a railroad system, a mall, an entire underground sewer system, and a Amnesia-esque dungeon under the city. Without his help, I would have given up hope of finishing Traverse Town. But that's not to say I haven't done much. I crafted almost all of the buildings, recreated the districts, and cheifly designed the insides of every building. I spent many hours on my PS2, looking around the city and taking pictures to help re-create the city. So as you'd imagine, Traverse Town is very accurate. While there may be a few areas that differ from the game, none of them are major at all, and I'm sure the most devoted of Kingdom Hearts fans will be pleased.

About the Map

While the city was built as a sightseeing/recreational experience, there are also 2 sidequests. There is a dungeon somewhere under the city, and a block-collecting challenge as well! There are over 120+ chests to be found all around the city, each containing one type of block. These blocks can be placed on corresponding pedestals in the Traverse Town Museum, outside the city walls. It's fun for completionists, and some of the chests are very challenging and puzzling to find. Please PM me, Mowrt620, if you find that a type of block is nowhere to be found. I had a list of the blocks once, and I crossed them off as I put them in chests, but the list got thrown away, so I struggled to keep track of the block types. I am very confident that all the blocks are available in chests, but let me know if this is not the case, and I will update the map. Besides that, the town should be in tip-top shape, and I hope that you enjoy yourself. Along with the collectible blocks, another challenge is the parkour involved in the map. Frankly, it is INTENSE. It's a mashup of sprint-jumping challenges, which will be the fine line between life and death. Needless to say, pretty awesome. If you have any questions or need any help, I encourage you to PM me or my friend, Penge567.

A Word from Penge

My name is Penge567, and I am the world-editer of the project, which means I had the very...labor-filled task of creating ALL the mountains of Traverse Town. A very mind-numbing task, but I finished it, and to say the least, it looks great. I am going to cut to the chase, Mow is a great guy. I know him from school, and he introduced me to this when he saw some of my previous work. Frankly, if he wasn't here, I would have abandoned the project. After building all the mountains, he realized how much I could build, and how quickly I could do it, so he asked me to do some other tasks, like building the railways and the city walls. I can go on about all that I have done, or all that Mow has done, but instead of that, I will just say. this map. is. awesome. Not just awesome in a gorgeous landscape sense, but awesome in a very funny way. I am glad I was able to be part of this project and hopefully we can build more projects in the future. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to inbox me, and I will respond to them as fast as I can. Have fun, and enjoy!

You head down the path from the boat (where you start) and hop on the minecart track. That'll take you into town :)
