The Oliver Hazzard Perry Class is among the most successful frigate designs in the world. Fast, cheap, and easy to build, its no wonder why they have been exported to 9 other countries. Armed with a Mk. 13 harpoon launcher and a rapid fire 76mm cannon on the stern, the Oliver Hazard Perry's can easily engage any target. One Phalanx provides close in weapon support. The Oliver Hazard Perry class has proven to be a extremely durable design, when USS Stark and USS Samuel B. Roberts almost sank due to mines and missiles, but thanks to excellent damge control, the ships where repaired and remained in service. Unfortunaltey, all the Oliver Hazard Perrys are slated for retirement before to end of the decade, bringing a end to a very popular class of warships.
