A personal project of mine. Making the homes for some characters in a story I'm writing for another fandom.
This one belongs to the family of the title-bearer for War; The Edelweiss.

Edelweiss greets the newcomer with the front porch with a covered outdoor lounge, leading into the entry hall.
The grand staircase has an alcove on both sides to hang coats and place shoes, a sitting lounge and the upright grand piano in the space behind it.
To the left of the entry is the front entrance to the library, with a hallway leading to the fully-equipped kitchen and the dining room, with its grand table carved directly from the immense and ancient tree that supports the house in the front left corner.
The dining room flows into the Library as well, from the side. The climbing plants are particularly special to the family; keeping the plants alive helps to ease the necessity to kill that follows the title, and the secret of the library does little to dispute that necessity. After accessing the switch-puzzle and completing it, the secret door in one of the bookcases opens up to reveal the corridor into the Ancestral Armory, a cavernous place kept for the sheer sake of passing on the loyal antique weaponry to those named in the title.

Going up the grand staircase to the second floor, one can look down and see the carpet that lays on the first landing, speckled with dancing lights from the antique crystal chandelier above. Across the open-floor entry, the light plays off another spectacle; the stained-glass cathedral bay windows that face the front of the house. This entire wing of the house is home to the finest stained glass money could buy back in its day, and when the Lumino blazes in the daytime, the light plays in shimmering colored shapes across the wooden floors and walls. It is still spectacular, even in its age.
The second floor is where the personal and guest rooms are. The first door on the right of the corridor is the room of the firstborn, sporting its finely-woven sheets and the colors of the title subtly splashed upon the floor. It is conjoined with the guest room [or the second-born’s room] via the guest bathroom, which also opens between them into the hallway.
The rooms on the left side of the second floor corridor have one entrance, that into the master bedroom. The bedframe is carved out of the ancient tree in that corner of the house, and from there the room has access to the master bathroom and a balcony overlook. It is here that new generations begin, and will inevitably end, as well as offers a small sanction of peace from the days’ campaign.
At the mouth of the hall is a small side-corridor, leading to the ladder into the attic. The attic is also known as the Upper Armory and while it is still used as a storage area for centuries of goods and material possessions from generations long into the past, it mostly holds a plethora of weaponry to arm the lookout stations. The glassed-in roof ends offer vantage decks for any warrior under the name of War to both secretly watch newcomers coming to the manor, or to the others, as well as grants a proper vantage point to take out threats across the cavern with projectile long-range weaponry without being noticed immediately.

Texture pack used is Wolfhound's Summer.
