Wentland Pedestrian Bridge
The Wentland Pedestrian Bridge, is right in the center of downtown Greenfield. The city built the bridge after there was an increased push for a more pedestrian friendly city. Coupled with the Pedway System, the bridge is able to transport people from the waterfron all the way to the Mall. This bridge mixes an older steel arched bridge style with a modern feel. I really didnt want to build a straight modern bridge because realistically they can be pretty darn expensive. I also wanted this bridge to be ADA friendly so it has elevators on each side to get wheelchair bound pedestrians over the river. This bridge also spans the high traffic riverside road and sets down right next to the Union Terminal. You can then go straight into the Pedway System from the bridge.
