What is Antiquity?
Antiquity is a vanilla-based Minecraft server with one and only one goal: recreate the nostalgia that many of us experienced when we were younger. Many of us look back on the years pre-2015 and recall our fantastically fond memories. The time spent exploring an uncharted world. The time spent interacting with our fellow players. The time spent forming connections and friendships. The time spent forming memories. We may each recall our own antiquities. Come join our community and take part in forming another great age.
Gameplay
Antiquity is a barebones survival server. However, do not misinterpret this as being boring and uninteresting. Antiquity calls back to a time when Minecraft was less-developed and more simplistic. Forget complicated plugins that hardly enhance gameplay. Instead, we opt to worldbuild in-game as a community of individuals. Many of us have been playing Minecraft since before release, and we are capable of creating an interesting experience for each and every player, one day at a time.
Do you want to go build a small town with a small group of friends? You are more than welcome to! Your town will grow. You will connect with other players as you strive to create and achieve.
Do you want to explore a world and sack its natural riches? Grab a boat, and chart the seas!
Do you want to become a millionaire and live a life of luxury? Form a small home-grown business, expand your business to occupy an entire continent, and, ultimately, create a business that each and every player recognizes and chooses to participate in.
Do you want to be rewarded for your time spent on our server? Reach milestones and receive new ranks and perks!
