The BAW clan and gaming community is proud to announce the Grand Opening of our brand new Hardcore PvP Minecraft server! However, this is not your regular Hardcore PvP server. BAW is bringing new and exciting features to create our own flavor of Hardcore PvP that we know you will love.

WHO is BAW?

BAW was founded in 2005 and has become a well known and highly respected clan and community across multiple titles such as Day of Defeat, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, and others. As a result we have not only the financial backing of over 100 paying adult members, but also an excellent reputation as being home to a group of people who are mature, respected and fun.

WHY have we moved to MINECRAFT?

For the past two years, a large group of BAW players have taken in PvP minecraft, spanning various servers. As we gained experience and expertise, we realized what it took to make a truly enjoyable PvP experience but knew that we could also implement features into our server to retain some of what makes Minecraft such an amazing adventure and community of players. As a result we took all the "good" we experienced, threw out the "bad" and put together one amazing place for you, your friends, and your adversaries to destroy one another.

WHAT is unique about BAW Hardcore PvP?

We are bringing BAW's rich experience in hardcore PvP it to new depth as well as introducing all new elements into the Hardcore PvP world. These include (but are not limited to): Horde Invasion Town (a single or group adventure through a BAW designed Left4dead style town), Gladitorial Arenas, Castle Siege (still in development), and so much more. These will be in addition to our many monthly events we will host. We also know how much fun "adventure maps" can be. Therefore, we are excited to include all new "adventure sites" hidden around our server. These are unprotected clan-built structures hidden in the wilderness that require you to use your adventure map skills to complete in order to get some nice booty at the end.

HOW are we keeping Hardcore PvP HARDCORE?

Despite all the extra goodies, our server wouldn't be a great PvP server if it didn't stay true to its roots. Too often we have seen PvP servers ruined by item and land protection, exploitable economies, abusive admins, etc. There is no fun in Hardcore PvP if you can't fill your foe's base with TNT and lava and send it sky high. As a result, we have come back with what we feel keeps the environment true to its nature by including things such as: Absolutely NO land or item protection (only safe zone is Spawn City), a Gold Ingot-based economy (no iConomy to be exploited), High mob spawn rates and difficulty, Cool downs on home and spawn teleporting, and many other basic features. In addition, our server uses highly stress-tested and hand-picked plugins to provide the most lag-free environment achievable on our server. Our Admins are highly respected, helpful, and will NEVER engage in PvP with players (several plugins provide BAW leadership with the ability to keep close watch on actions in case of abuse).
