How so?

-How BrelCraft was Started-

In order to explain how this server aims to be different from others, you can read below about my experience with Minecraft servers, and what I want to convey with BrelCraft.




My name is Melkor, I am the owner and operator of BrelCraft, or Tales of Brelethor. I have been playing Minecraft for several years now, yet still highly love the game due to its creative and developmental capabilities. I used to primarily play PvP/RPG servers, and I highly enjoyed the experiences I had with them.

Yet...

It always seemed as if I was picking between servers because of features. One would have an amazing feature that contributed to what I wanted, yet would lack something else I had encountered elsewhere. I began to wonder why no one simply took the time to create an actual experience that had the elements I craved.

Factions was too bland and rudimentary, too "plain". Vanilla PvP was merely ping and gear stats... I wanted something more... I wanted diversity, balance, and choice. Strategy.

So it is that this server's conception.
 

I want my players to become a part of a world. To fight, converse, explore, and build together; to populate these lands with life and action. I have been, and still currently am, carving out a world, I just need your help to bring it to life.

I need your thoughts, actions, and stories to enrich the landscape and history.










Main Features



  • Kingdoms, not Factions. Kingdoms allows for a more interesting experience in my opinion. Kingdoms grants you many of the basic features of Factions, but fundamentally changes how players interact with them. You must feed your Kingdom Nexus resources, claim land, and even buy stat upgrades for your entire Kingdom!

  • Classes/Skills/Magic, that's right, we've got a system in place where a player may profess to classes in order to gain usable abilities. Three current paths exist, and they are as follows : Magic, Strength, Guile. Each path has classes within it that may be leveled up by slaying mobs.

  • Custom World, Brelethor is a stunningly large 10,000 x -10,000 (20,000) blocks in diamater. It is full of varied, habitable landscapes and creatures suited to add diversity and variety to the world. Towns, dungeons, easter eggs, and hidden treasures all wait to be found. New lands wait to be found, conquered, and created.

  • Custom Items/Mobs/BossesBrelCraft is full of custom content. Items that allow you to perform godlike feats, magical abilities, etc exist. They can be bought, crafted, and looted from dungeons.

  • Colonization, Brelethor is at currently highly untouched and nubile. I encourage, and will actively aid in your expansion and creation within my world. I am saying that I will aid new players by providing reasonable resources with which to construct purposeful, lasting bases and fortifications. Building supplies, food, etc only.


  • Balance/PayToWin, BrelCraft will offer donation packages. However, nearly every donation perk can be bought with in game money as well. This is to allow ALL players access to such things, so long as they are dedicated enough to playing. No packages will be OP, and none will give anything outrageous such as staff, OP gear, tons of money, etc.


  • Economy/AlternativePlaystyles, perhaps you are not a PvPer. Maybe you are more of a socialite, or economical genius. Brelethor is open to your kind as well. Amass a fortune with it's untouched resources, not all wars must be won with bloodshed. When fully done, BrelCraft will include a rigid economy where you may make money in various actions, and to varying extents.

Races added in, classes are being reworked.

Alignment/Religion/Guild may be added in as additional "classes".

Professions will be added. Void dungeon is done. First Cullis Gate is done.
