What sets our server apart from other servers?
Our server is very different in the way that it is run. We utilize our website and forums to post updates and receive feedback on those updates, if the community feels strongly about something we may be inclined to change it. We like to give the community the voice and build the server for the community because we believe that if you cannot enjoy the server together then we're doing something wrong. We have active admins that monitor the server in game as well as the back end of things. Should the server ever crash we have scripts that will auto-restart the server and scripts that detect a server crash and take precautions to ensure that no data is lost and you'll be able to pick up where you left off moments before the crash. We also utilize various performance enhancing programs that keep the server stable and lag-free, this is why no matter what the load our servers TPS will always remain at 20.
What do we have to offer that other servers do not?
We offer a very carefully configured server that has had ever single setting tweaked to it's highest potential. We carefully go over each configuration file to ensure that we're setting up each plugin and configuring everything to it's highest potential. We never over-look anything. We also have a team of people who de-compile plugins and re-code them as we need in the case of fixes and plugin issues. Nothing is too hard for us over here at S3K, we're a group of great people who love nothing but to play video games and we're always looking out for each other.
What kind of hardware do our servers utilize?
Our servers are hosted using the following hardware on a Linux based OS known as CentOS 6 hosted out of Buffalo, NY, USA.
Intel Xeon E3-1270v3
32GB RAM
2x 1TB SSD
1Gbps Unmetered
What is the S3K Gaming Community?
The S3K Gaming Community is a group of friends from all over the world who share a common passion in gaming whether it be Minecraft, CS:GO, ARMA or other games, together we share a hobby. The community was built on being one of the only communities to host a large-scale wasteland server for ARMA 3 that was huge in the day but the community was unable to stay together long enough to see any sort of large scale growth. Today the community remains online but very few people are active in it. A small group of us have gotten back together in hopes of reviving the community and getting all of the old friends as well as many new ones into the servers and Teamspeak.
