Welcome to SkyFactions!
A few quick details before we dive in:
Server IP: skyfactions.me
SkyFactions is a 1.12 factions server (1.8 PvP enabled) with a twist! It's themed after the book / movie series Divergent !
There will be a nation hub for each nation (Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless and Erudite).

Each nation will have titles -earned via jobs- that will unlock specialized shops with unique inventories.
Surrounding each nation will be 'protected lands' wherein factions will have to abide by the laws of the land- posted within the nation hub.
Beyond those borders lay the Wildlands- where everything is fair game (yay, 1.8 PvP). Rare and powerful mobs will be found across this landscape. Those brave enough to slay these beasts and reap their bounty will also influence the frequency of BUYCRAFT sales!
The economy will be based off of the jobs that you do; use that hard-earned cash to further your factions' influence.
Every title can be earned in-game doing jobs for a nation. Utilize two jobs and earn up to six titles per nation. Until the server resets, you are free to switch jobs to your hearts' content.
There will be ranks that you can purchase which will get you access to free crates depending on what rank is purchased.
Speaking of Resets:
Resets are bound to happen on any server SO we've decided to make them crystal clear.
Resets will be every 6 months and will be caused by a World Catastrophe- HOWEVER
YOU will have a say in what happens after the reset.
You fight against the "Big Bad" and the amount of damage dealt will determine the buycraft sale after reset.

Well, it's that time of year again!
(No, we're not celebrating early Christmas)
We're changing things up a bit in the coming week. By that, I mean certain rules that are currently active will be... Adjusted.. to increase activities in the realm.
As well as the rule changes, this update will include some new features and server events!

Rule changes
(concerning Amity and Abnegation)
As players are pretty much camping inside these two protected areas, we've decided to alter the rules regarding PvP and Raiding in order to encourage such activities.
August 13th - The dreaded day (for some :3) - Raiding will be allowed inside Amity and Abnegation's overwhelmed Protected Lands!
Now before everyone freaks out, there will be a few variations on the rules for those areas. If you have a faction in that area, you will Not be able to place obsidian (All currently placed Obsidian will be conveniently converted into Cobblestone). TnT will remain disabled (Cheers all around, right?) - however, players may use creepers to blow up the chests and/or spawners in the areas they're raiding.

Top Faction
(Monthly prizes)
One of the main reasons for the rule changes to A&A is the implementation of Top Faction Rewards! Every month, the top 3 factions on the server will receive prizes for proving their skill.
The Top Faction contest will consist of more than just the power level you have attained - Truly powerful players have no shame in proudly flaunting their wealth via piles of Emerald and Diamond blocks, beautifully topped with Tier 4 Beacons!
Factors that will influence the score include:
- The number of players in your Faction.
- Amount of precious blocks PLACED. (Emerald/Diamond)
- Powered Tier 4 Beacons.
- Power used for Land Claimed.
- Amount/Type of Spawners PLACED.
The prizes will include:
- "Raid Kits" (No it's not a kit for raiding Kit.. specifically :3)
- Buycraft Vouchers.
- Free Keys.
- In-Game Cash!
The first prizes will be awarded on September 14th.

Server Events:
Swarm!
The nation hubs have been overrun by mobs!
Your job is to recollect all of the "Anti-Mob Rods" from the invaders in order to restore peace to the area.
(Please note that during this time, the nation shops will be disabled, as well as the portal warp at spawn.)
A collection area will be set up near the corresponding portal. After enough items have been collected, the nation will be safe once more!
Capture the Flags!
You may enter your faction to compete in a Capture the Flag event! A Separate post will be made with extra details for this event.

This is a very fun server! It has some features no other faction server I have seen has , and i have seen many servers that also have factions since I started playing , Its not a finished "Project" if I can call it that , It has an active owner that constantly works on the server , adding new features and listening to suggestions that the server's community offer! If you want a server that is fun , with active staff and constant updates , I recommend Skyfactions!
