In World of Aethea, one can do whatever they desire. Players spawn with pigs and carrots. They can wander around raiding and destroying unprotected land, or make a living farming or mining, and going to the larger cities to sell their materials. Also, players can become traders, buying items up at one location and selling them at another for a profit. Bandits can raid these players, so traders and people peacefully selling their items should group together into pig caravans, to travel from one city to another. Also, players can join the armies of the cities to help enforce the law or destroy it.

Trade materials or raid pig caravans to raise money, besides the conventional ways of mining and farming. Sell materials at cities to get money (steve, skelly, zombie, and creeper heads).
