The gravel goes beneath the boots. As the brave one scans threw the tavern, the figure lurks.
Watching over the guarded weapon. A glint from within the darkness catches the brave ones eyes. They stalk up to it and find their prize, but before they can retrieve it a dark figure swoops down and strikes at their left arm.
They tried to dodge the blow, only for the claws to catch their arm. The brave one had to something and quickly or death would be upon them. But when they tried to dodge their sword flung from it's sheath and into shadows. A torch, the only thing that lay in their hands. The brave one winded up their arm and threw it as hard as they could. The creature followed its light.
While the figure was distracted, the brave took the opportunity. They made a leap towards the weapon, the prize. Their hand grasped the leather wrapped handled and tugged. Pulling the bronze sword from its prison.
The creature soon realized its mistake, it was to late. The intruder was gone and so was the sword.
