basically a skin trade is: you trade a skin with some one else ( not to keep ) and you both re-make that skin in your own style/shading. it's pr simple but i was also confused until recently someone else told me about them ^^

yes, you can choose any skin that has been uploaded on that persons account (as long it's fine with them i suppose?)
