When Billy Batson shouts the magic word "SHAZAM!" he is struck by an enchanted bolt of lightning and transforms into the hero Captain Marvel, now known as Shazam. He grows into adult form, and gains the following powers:

A: The stamina of Atlas
Z: The power of Zeus
A: The courage of Achilles
M: The speed of Mercury.

In addition to super strength, speed, invulnerability to both physical and magical attacks, and flight, Captain Marvel has lightning based magical powers.
