The shading's good, you have the right idea. But you shouldn't change the tone too much, it's going from almost white to dark grey. Try and take the tone level by level don't make each shade too different from one another. And when doing the head, chose a single direction from which the light source is shining from, then shade from that point. Also, you may think that the Bottom leg(foot) and the Top Leg panels don't show much but they need shading too. Never skip on the shading :3 Same goes for the Top Body panel and the Bottom Head panel, shade them both as well :3 And make use of the Bottom Hat Panel, it will help to add to the hoods effect(works with hair and capes as well) And I noticed you missed some shading on his back, the quiver and some of his coat there. Make sure you pay attention to the colours on your reference picture and try and get them as accurate as possible. Other than that, this is a good attempt. Take what I said to mind and try again :3
And remember, practice makes perfect ^-^
I'll check back in a while
