Rolling back the clock to a time when the overworld was inhabited, we find the ancient Desert People. Priests were higher on the pyramid of their society. Priests were those who had the job of temple work performing rituals and giving offerings of food to their deities in the form of statues. A legend has it that in the Desert Temple, the creeper was first created by a priest when tampering with the forces of life. After the creature was created, it escaped and exploded releasing the spores which grew more creepers.
