An Esparan Regular armed for pike & shot tactics. A loadout primarily used for castle defence and the garrison aboard military vessels, the armor limits mobility but protects the legionary from incoming projectiles, making them especially useful as defensive troops or vanguard fire support.

Armor provides resistance to low-velocity shrapnel and shot.

High morale troops with a discipline bonus against artillery shellshock and incoming fire.

Can also be deployed in melee engagements as an armored swordsman.

Vulnerable to cavalry but strong against most kinds of infantry.

Mid-range defensive firearm unit.

Best used in entrenched positions.

Inspired by in-lore events, the helmet was designed to be a crested morion or kettle design. with a neckguard inspired by Esparan contact with samurai culture during the Niyon Wars. To stay true to Espara's Iberian flavour, the plates are manufactured in the style of lorica segmentata or European 16th century armor, but arranged to be worn in a style remniscent of samurai arquebusiers.
