Revolutionary War hero, George Zeller, a German Immigrant, finds out that he is dying, wasting away.. Leaving his beloved city of Boston, Massachusetts he began sailing around the world searching for a cure to his illness, eventually he found himself robbing people. Cities. Countries... He became the thing he hated even more than the British. A Pirate. As he headed back to Boston to turn himself in, his ship crashed. Crew dead, he decided to explore the island where it happened, on the verge of death, he found a small hut. Then he fainted.

As he drifted in and out of consciousness he heard strange words; "Asteroidea" "Universus". He awoke back on his ship with a strange medallion, a medallion with a snake on it. He noticed something. Something peculiar about him, he felt better, better than he ever felt before. But something was.. Strange, his skin or, part of it anyway was pink, rough, leathery. He screamed, fell off his boat and landed in the water, he noticed something. A starfish. It's skin. It was the same! He walked back to the hut, it was in ruins.

Laying in the very spot where he fainted was a small, black, leather-bound book with the same snake symbol on it, he opened it. It explained everything, from the moment he passed out to the moment he woke up. He was fixed.His disease was cured by a woman, no name, no description, just a word "Saga".

He was half starfish, meaning his DNA was infused with those of an aquatic creature, but something the book mentioned. He could regenerate limbs. He had longevity. He could climb walls. And he could breathe underwater, he read about men like this, men who were above the rest, men who were protectors. He knew that he owed it to the wolrd to protect it, he traveled back to Boston on his ship, as he pulled up he noticed things didn't look the same as they once did. They were,.. He was very confused

Little did George know, he woke up in the year 2014.
