My friend named "BTLTeamTNT" keeps on asking on how do i do this "expert" (i think not) shading techniques?
Well , here are some rules you need to keep in mind...
1.) Don't ever use neon colors!
What are neon colors? Neon colors are colors that are absurdly bright. It could be of any color , even black!
You still don't know? Here are a few examples , Neon Green! Neon Red! Neon Yellow! Neon Blue!
2.) Asymmetry sometimes help.
For an example , this skin , it has unmatching shoes , some have split hair colors , and some even have full split body colors!
Sometimes the Mirror Tool doesn't help. =P
>What is a mirror tool?
A mirror tool is skin-making tool that duplicates what you did to the other half/side of the skin.
(If you know what i mean)
3.) Don't apply in too much shade (Needs a bit of experience)
Some people have a hard time doing this. Some people attempt doing this but end up with a "Lifeless-like" Pallet.
Look at this skin , i didn't put in too much shading. If you say the hair has too much , think again , it only have 5 shades.
They are just arranged in a specific manner.
4.) Try to match the brightness/darkness to all the colors on the skin.
Even I though haven't mastered this but slowly getting to it. Try to take a look at my skin named "Green & Blue"
The hair , skin and clothing have similar brightness.
5.) Don't use Noise / Camouflage Tool (Ya'know the tool that puts in random shades when u make a skin?)
Please , don't use it. It is really obvious you didn't put much effort into it , which means people won't like it.
6.) Don't give up!
If you think you are not making any progress, no , you are.
If you stop all of your efforts , gone , if you forget you'll have to start over again.
7.) Be inspired/Follow the paths of EXCELLENT skin makers
If you can't do it alone , find some people , follow them!
8.) Improve your Work Of Art!
For Example : You finished a skin wherein you followed your IDOL's detailing. Improve it! Make unique ideas! Use what you learned from the person you followed. Do your best to make them , follow you.
Anyways that's all I can say today folks.
Goodbye!!!
