Jill Valentine is a fictional character in the Resident Evil series of games created by Capcom. She first appeared in Resident Evil (1996). Jill Valentine, a former Delta Force member, initially works with her partner By Chris Redfield, against Umbrella Pharmaceutical Corporation. Later she becomes one of the founders of the Alliance The United Nations Bioterrorist Security Assessment (BSAA).

Jill Valentine is the main character of several games, novelizations, films and merchandise Resident Evil. In later games, such as the 2002 remake of Resident Evil, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 5, her prototype was a Canadian model and actress Julia Here. Jill also appears in the film Resident Evil: Apocalypse, she is played by an actress Sienna Guillory. She has also participated in several other game franchises, including Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom and Project X Zone.
Video game publications called Jill Valentine one of the most popular and iconic video game characters and rated her as the most enjoyable and iconic Resident Evil character. She has received acclaim and criticism regarding gender representation in video games. Several publicists praised the series for its portrayal of women and considered Valentine significantly less sexualized than other female game characters; she was also cited as an example of a female character who was as competent and experienced as her male counterparts.
