Kagerou can be described a person whose personality is hard to read.
She is a skilled actress, capable of putting on the façade of an innocent, curious young girl when she needs to,even speaking in a very polite manner.
Kagerou is an irritable young woman with a mean temper. Her grasp of subtlety is weak at best and her general people skills are lacking, though not for lack of trying. She's Impatient and prone to somewhat violent outbursts, crude behavior and language, and typically broods if she doesn't get her way. This by no means makes her "immature" in the sense that she'll cry, whine, or throne a tantrum until she gets what she wants, she's not a brat. If she is told she can not have something she wants, she will prove she can have it. For her aggressive nature she's quite aloof, prone to wandering about by herself thinking about whatever comes to mind, and mind you, she does think, quite deeply about everything she learns. She isn't much of a talker, preferring action over words and she'll be the first one to throw a punch when it comes to that, and it always does.
She's surprisingly tactical, preferring to study her opponents before or while fighting them, and this nature extends to people, making her seem distant and rude at times, which is true to an outsiders view point, but once she's let you past her rough exterior you'll likely find an inquisitive young woman who values you for everything that you are, faults included.
Kagerou has an understandably difficult time making friends and she has no problems with this. To her, if you're not willing to accept her, then there's no reason she should accept you. She's got a soft spot for things and people who are otherwise defenseless, don't come begging, she'll be put off by that, but for those that haven't a choice, she grieves for them and helps as she can. She refuses to let people down, failure is never an option for her. She understands the need for a retreat but she will always return. She deeply admires people who'd sacrifice for another, those who make themselves stronger, and nice people.
Likes
Fighting: Kagerou loves a good fight, she'll never start a fight on purpose but her aggressive, unapologetic nature leads to them fairly often.In a fight she doesn't need to care about anything else but winning, and that's just dandy with her. She can escape everything that's troubling her in a good, honest brawl, and it let's her blow off some steam, and there is often a lot of steam to unload.
Kaoru: Her brother is perhaps the one person she loves unconditionally. Not in a romantic way, of course, he's the only one that ever "gets" her. The only person she's ever gone to for advice who's been able to give her what she needs, without just giving it to her. He just gets it. He knows nothing you're given has meaning unless you've earned it. He knows how she thinks and no matter how often she hates him for it, it's always a good thing that he does. She isn't sure if Kaoru is aware how much she admires him, given her trouble with talking about her feelings and the fact that more than once she's thrown his desk at him in a fit, but that doesn't matter, because it doesn't change the the fact he's been the closest thing to family she's ever known, and he's been the person she's needed for a long time.
Good Food: On the rare occasion she's been able to have some fine dining she truly savours it. That said, good food does not mean fancy food. She enjoys food made with care and love, and that's not whatever she has found dead outside. A good burger, some homemade mac n cheese, fried whatever. It's all perfect as long as it gives her the warm feeling inside that she associates with good cooking.
Dislikes
Talk over action: Kagerou can not stand people who's bark is worse then their bite, people who don't do things for themselves, and people who talk but have nothing to really say. It's a waste of time and breath, and these people are much better off with jaws that don't function.
People: Kagerou dislikes people the most, most of all she dislikes strangers and she isn’t really social. For example if someone says hello or goodmorning to her and she doesn’t know that person, she simply ignores it or stares angry at this person.
Fire:She is afraid of Fire and hates that, besides does she hate the fact that she is afraid.
Motivations
Fame: Kagerou isn't a vane person in the least, she's modest in most respects about herself but fame for her means more money, and that's the whole point. She respects the medias ability to deliver the messages those in the public eye want to send, so if she needs to enter that eye to get people to listen to what she wants to say then so be it.
Working Hard: One of her motivations is to discover new parts of her Devil Fruit Powers and continue by working hard. She doesn’t know anyone else with a similiar kind of Devil Fruit and by doing it herself, she feels her pride coming along. Besides she hopes that by getting stronger every day, people will leave her alone.

To most people,Kagerou often looks like a lost child, wandering around, penniless, not having any regard for her ripped, rugged clothing. Her appearance is often tattered due to her not actually caring about what she looked like or what state she was in. Her usual stance is that of a dazed child, looking directly up and as if amazed by something, doing this with arms crossed and one leg moving up and down slowly. Her skin is pure white like snow, with a small amount of freckles below her eyes , across the bridge of her nose and no permanent scars or other injuries. Around her eyes, she uses a dark black eye shadow on her top eye lids, similar to the colour of charcoal, contrasting with her ever so light skin.
History
Kagerou and her family lived quietly and peacefully in Shimotsuki Village, among the shopping stalls and stores in a small house, earning a living by running a stall selling various different foods and drinks while younger members of the family would play around in the alleys and streets, running and laughing along with others as elders watched and smiled, most of them content with their boring lives and scenery…
…except for Kagerou.
Kagerou was often considered by most an unusual child amongst the rest, maybe even a gift, someone so different than other kids may be a present to such a good, organised family. But for some, Kagerou was the Black spot on the clean sheet of paper, needing to be erased. In her childhood, she spent most of her time away from family, often roaming the small streets of Shimotsuki Village and daydreaming, not really caring about other people and what they thought of her or anything else. She’d often find herself on the Marine outpost or an anchored ship by accident, clearly not focusing on where she was going. Throughout her childhood life, she dreamt of a life out of town, filled with adventure and freedom, away from her boring life in Shimotsuki Village, away from her boring parents and siblings. Eventually, while wandering an unknown ship that had docked up at the Shimotsuki Village port, raiding the ship’s pantry, she came across an odd looking fruit. At the time she didn't know what it was, so was quite curious to what it would taste like…
She soon discovered, after taking a bite out of the mysterious fruit, that it tasted disgusting, like nothing she’d never consumed before. A few weeks after that taste bud horror had occurred, she began to discover her new powers and the changes to her body had surprised not only her, but all her family members too.
They explained to Kagerou that this was the power of a devil fruit, a fruit that houses the powers of the demon. Parents of the family and others were shocked and began to avoid what Kagerou had become, while siblings and other children picked on her and bullied her on being different. She began to feel isolated, more than ever, it was fine to be accepted the way she was before, but now they couldn't stop staring at her, thinking about it, recognising her as some sort of alien.
Then she realised that this was maybe the life she wanted. An interesting, colourful life she deserved. Thus, she left the village, in hopes of finding adventure and wondrous things not even her mind could conjure up. As she started travelling, she began to notice her beli slowly decline. She came to the solution that she needed a source of income, a job. She had turned to the easiest solution she had found at the time; being a bounty hunter. No need for any silly applications or experience, just say you are a bounty hunter and take bounties from marines, job done. She began training in combat, coming up with techniques, utilizing her new found devil fruit powers in combat. Her eyes were set on becoming stronger, more powerful than the hopeless, weak child she was before.

She's not paralyzed by it, if she loses a fight she'll feel angry, not melancholy, but if she is crushed by an opponent she thought she could handle or otherwise fails to meet the expectations she sets for herself or those set for her she becomes hopelessly depressed.
Flying Insects [bees in particular]- She despises people who get too close without permission, but at least she can reason with them. Insects can not be reasoned with, and those that can fly have brazen reign of her air space. She can not ignore them, as they will not be ignored and she can not squash them either because they're too mobile or they have a colony of friends waiting to take revenge. One fly will not incapacitate her, but a large colony of them around trash or a dead body will give her enough to pause to not go toward it. She actively avoids bees, out right running if there are more than two buzzing about.
Spiders - If flying bugs are the rebel anarchists of bug kind, then spiders are the stalking murderers. They creep and crawl just where you can't see them until you turn and look to see it sitting on the wall right next to you. Spiders are surprisingly intelligent and crafty and Kagerou doesn't trust them. No being so elusive is "afraid" of you. And wherever you find one, you know he's just distracting you while twelve more find their hiding place.
