since this is a very early version (mainly uploaded to test out the new format a bit more) i will be updating sometime soon with a better version of the chest.

i am going to have to say yes and no, yes they work in 1.7 though no armor will show up i forgot 1.8 was just a snapshot but if i can i will upload the 1.7 version of this skin as well.

No i did not, i didn't know that there were any 1.8 skin editors out, but i normally use McSkin3d but that has not been updated to the 1.8 format, well at least to my knowledge it hasn't.

well to make a long story short i looked up the new layout, got a skin that used the new layout, saw how it was done then spent the next hour tinkering with paint.net and a skin and now i can sorta do it, still takes me some tinkering time.
