King Nautimarid, God of Cephlapods and Emperor of the Aegean Sea was, as said, an Aegean god worshiped by the Joaquinese tribes. He was a god of great power, their Zeus, as he was to the Greeks, Jupiter to the Romans. He had an army of tens of thousands of armed squid, octopi, cuttlefishes, and nautiluses. He was, as in the title, the supreme god of Cephlapods. (If you didn't know, Cephlapods are a species including squid, octopi, cuttlefishes, and nautiluses.) When he gets angry, he summons monsoons, typhoons, tsunamis, tidal waves, hurricanes, tornadoes, red tides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, plague and disease, swarms of locusts, widespread famine, Sea Monsters (whales, porpoises, sharks, eels, and other aquatic oddities were considered "Sea Monsters" or "Sea Serpents" by the Joaquinese people.) and several other disasters, not needed to be mentioned. Nautimarid dies quite often. In fact, he dies about once a year! More than once, if he is quite unlucky. But when he does, he goes out with a bang. When he dies, a green flash radiates around the horizon all over the world. Since he can pick when he dies, for he is still alive today, although nobody worships him, he chooses to die at sunset. For back when he was worshiped, the tribes' sacred law was to be inside and eating at sunset. He didn't want to be seen dying, for it would eliminate the people's hope drastically. No, he decides to die when nobody is watching. Unfortunately, people have caught on these days and look for "the green flash" many a sunset. He has powers similar of those of a phoenix. He dies, usually to provide his armies with food (Octopi and other cephlapods sometimes feed upon the corpses of other! DX) he then is reconstructed out of the bones of his past body. It is not a big deal to him. So, he goes through cycles, defending the Aegean Sea. So, remember. Before you fall asleep, make a quick prayer to King Nautimarid, God of Cephlapods and Emperor of the Aegean Sea to secure the blessings of the great Aegean!
