A bipedal subterranean species who seem mostly humanoid, thought to be the result of centuries void of light. These beings show astonishing intellect despite being subjected to complete darkness for such a duration, the only mental affects are increased aggression towards land-dwellers, and certain animals, as well as no longer displaying human mannerisms. Also maintaining the ability to work metals, gemstones, and weapons. Known only as "Lurkers" it appears they were once human, but evolved to better suit their environment.



Many accounts detail Lurkers harvesting ores and gem veins, though their interest seems to be peaked particularly by rubies and redstone. Those who have encountered these beings suggest they are able to communicate, though it seems like a dilapidated and coarse rendition of the English tongue. Survivor accounts also imply they are incredibly hostile towards most anything save for their kind, and certain animals, such as Chickens, pigs and Sea Turtles; furthermore their interest in the more hostile beings of our world and others is extraordinary. Depending on the entity, their reactions differ greatly. For instance, Zombie-pigmen, Piglins, Creepers, Husks and Endermen, are ignored completely unless provoked. If faced with the terrible Ghast, they will flee until the threat is gone, though some believe there are a class of Lurker that will combat most all beings for the protection of their kind. Lurkers will consume Endermites, Silverfish, Shulkers, and bats.



Lurkers, physically resemble humans greatly, but differ in that their skin has grayed, their eyes deep red and sunken into the sockets, with sharp "horns" protruding from the shoulders, forearms, and head regions. Typically seen wearing Golden to Bronze armor (Assumed to be Gold, or a composite metal) dark red garbs and tunics, as well as footwear. Sporting crude tools, pickaxes, swords, axes, and hoes made of the same substance, or bones.



Lurkers seem to idolize the series of beings labeled "Wither" refusing combat outright with the hostile Wither-Skeletons of the Nether, regardless of if the Skeleton is currently engaging said Lurker. Lurkers will drop in the event a Wither is summoned, perhaps in admiration, or fear?
