I made a modified version of yours. and yes purple is the color of royalty, and the emperor usually war something purple.

idk if i have much feedback to give. you seem to already have a good grasp of shading and layout, my only recommendation would be to maybe use more shading, and make it have a greater contrast, ie going from darker to lighter.
