As I was surfing the site, I came across GorillaPence's (http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/gorillapence/) tutorial on creating blocky skins(http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-shade-skins-blocky-style-template-included/) I've made lots of skins but have never tried the blocky style before. So I thought I would give it a try and see what I could learn from it.
I decided to try Space Ghost (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Ghost) because his black and white costume with bright red and yellow accessories does not lend itself to the realistic style (which requires more than 5 shades per color) and would be almost impossible to hue shift because of the extreme saturation. The result is below. I really fought with the red and yellow bits and had to control the urge to add a nose and cleft chin.
