Sparta was a strict Greek city state that was focused around its military. The Spartan Warrior's destiny started off when it was newborn. Right when a Spartan was born, a person of high class in Sparta would take a look at the baby. If the baby has anything wrong with it, they would leave it to die. When a Spartan baby was chosen to be well fit they were aloud to live. The Spartan boy lived a normal life until they were of the age of 7 years. Once a Spartan boy turned 7 they would start their tough life as a soldier. Training was harsh, it involved whipping, torture, and many more brutal procedures. The training ended when the Spartan boys were of age to fight on the battle field. The average Spartan soldier was as skilled (And some were even more skilled) than most elite forces today.
