This is a tsukesage kimono, that is to say a semi-formal visiting kimono. It has motifs on the hem and on the upper part of the kimono but as opposed to the more formal houmongi, the motifs are simpler and do not continue across seams (an indication that the kimono was easier to make). I didn't make any particular motif so it could be for example some scenery features. The color palette was chosen for July (https://aminoapps.com/c/japan/page/blog/kimono-colors/MXsk_u4L2g88Np8w1jMeNqbjpDr1g) and it also matches 'yuri' (lily) color combination here: (https://wafuku.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/japanese-colour-names-seasonal-combinations/). Although, now that I think about it, this color pallette looks pretty autumn-like.
The hanhaba obi is wrapped up in tsunodashi musubi. Using a less informal, half-width hanhaba obi with tsukesage is somewhat of a stretch but according to one TPO (time, place and occation) chart it could be done when aiming for something less formal.
Her hair is done in the shimada hairstyle and she's wearing wooden geta and tabi socks. I almost chose to forgo socks because it's a summer kimono, but it is a formal kimono still so socks are a must. Kimonos are a hobby of mine and I try to get the details right (as well as I know how to).
