Yūgiri from Zombie Land Saga

Yūgiri was a legendary courtesan from the Meiji era. After someone bought her her freedom, she left Tokyo and went to Saga, where she tried to live a normal life. Some people there tried to start a rebellion and cause a war in order for Saga to become a prefecture under the Meiji government again. The person who led the rebellion had a "friend" who he thought was working with him, but in reality his "friend" was a spy sent to dismantle the rebellion. The rebellion's leader didn't know what he was doing and didn't think there would need to be a war, but his followers insisted on starting a war (what else were they going to do). Yūgiri had become interested in the man's actions and decided to become acquainted with them. The spy soon killed everyone directly involved in the rebellion except the leader, who managed to run away. Yūgiri stayed in Saga and assassinated the spy, then was beheaded for her crime. In modern-day Japan (in the anime), Saga is an existing prefecture.
