Are you a mapmaker? No? It doesn't matter, as this resourcepack can be used for anything!

It is a base resourcepack for making your own player models with so much as editing a single arm, just follow the instructions in the word document inside the resourcepack and you'll be golden!

OPTIFINE IS REQUIRED

Recommended that you look up tutorials for modelling on any software if you're unfamiliar with it and want to make poses for your NPCs

Feel free to edit and redistribute your edited version as you please, is it for servers? maps? even your own survival worlds? who cares! just take a stick, rename it to whatever your npc is and plop it down on an item frame! (after you'vge done all of the steps for the models of course)

If you have any doubts as to how it works leave a comment, also reach out if you have any problems.

Hopefully not stressing editing!

How do I for example set my head slot to the npc,

/replaceitem entity British_Scarf armor.head brick{tag: {display: {Name: '[{'text':'npc'}]'}}, id: 'minecraft:anvil'}

I've done that and it doesn't look the same
Is there a custom model tag or something?
Sorry for the trouble I dont use optifine textures often

I'm not sure what you're referring to, if you could elaborate what it is you're trying to do with it I'm sure I can be of more help.

For now all I can say is that this resourcepack works as a Custom Item Texturepack, meaning that you rename items to change their item or model, I am just providing the base of a player model with the player texture already mapped to the model, so the editing of it is easier, commands are not needed.

If you wanted to add other features to the base player model you'd have to do that with a model editing software like Blockbench, as well as texture the additions.
There's also a word document inside the resourcepack that acts as a user guide, in case it is helpful.

Hope this info helped to your problem, if not be sure to reach out again with a more specific idea of what you're trying to do and I'll try my best to help you :)

Thanks,

So what I'm trying to do is set a item named "npc" to my head with /replaceitem, but when I do, the optifine model on it. It's just a stick, it works in an anvil but not with commands. It won't adopt the model when doing commands, only renaming in anvils.

Sorry I couldn't reply any sooner, I have been busy as of late, however I have checked and it would seem that it in fact doesn't recognize the names from commands, what i suggest you do, is change the base item to a carved pumpkin, that way you can rename it and also place it on your head without the need for commands, but for that you'd need to modify the model with the head display, for it to show up correctly.
If you see fit, you can also download a separate pack to remove the pumpkin overlay on first person, I recommend VanillaTweaks for it.

Hope this helped and sorry I couldn't provide for commands, I am still trying to figure out why it doesn't work as intended.
