I'm confused I do not know why you would want to make a smooth texture pack that looks amazing small and runs best small rather than larger. I always thought the point of making them was so people could play Minecraft on low end PC and still have a nice texture that works for them. :/

well, this way you can get the normal 16x16 pack for low end PC's if you need to but if you like the texture pack and have a higher end PC, then you can download a HD version so that it looks nicer :)
