*Before you mention about how the name of the pack has been used by other texturepacks before, please read the following. In particular, the bit right below this.*
Hello. Approximately 2 months ago I was bored and looking for a new texturepack/resource pack. One of my favorite games of all time has been the games in the Half-Life series, particularly Half-Life 2. After looking around I unfortunately found that nigh all HL2/HL1 texturepacks had been abandoned. I had done some messing around with texturing before but had never actually gone out and made a fully textured Resource/Texture pack. This is my first heavily worked on Texturepack so keep that in mind.
You may notice that some textures are Simple style, with little to no shading, and others are rather well shaded pieces. Let me explain this: Originally my idea for this texture pack was to have all textures styled in simple (As in, what the hoards of Simplecraft resource packs look like) but with the Half-Life 2 theme. Unfortunately I soon realized, specifically when texturing terrain such as dirt and stone, that it would look horrible and take ungodly long amounts of time. So what did I do? I did something rather clever that would put some detail into the pack while making it even closer to Half-Life. I took some of the textures from HL2 (Mostly terrain) and "squished" them down to 16x16. Unfortunately this only works well with terrain, and even so, it tends to be a little funky and ends up requiring a decent amount of texture editing, Particularly with bricks, so much so with bricks that I only use the squish method to get the brick color/shading.
This resource pack contains/edits:
Ambient music
Disks
Terrain
Items
Armor
Canadians
Clever load screens
To any Admin/moderator viewing this:
If you have the time, please inform me of anything that is against PMC rules. I've read the entire rule page but am slightly concerned that the "Squish" textures (Textures originally from HL2 (the game) it's self but re-sized to 16x, then edited to look more like what they would in HL2. An example of this would be regular bricks. They were originally HL2 bricks, but then were "squished" to 16x. After that they were modified to look like bricks again. As you can probably guess, they looked like a pile of red toned pixels.) may violate the "100% your own content" rule.
To Resource-pack stealers:
I WILL know if you take this pack and claim it as your own. Any reposts will be promptly flagged.

If I can help it, I will NOT release this pack until I get more blocks done. It's got quite a nice array of textures done already, including a slightly messed up panorama of Highway 17, but not nearly enough so to make me feel that it's ready for release.

Edit1: Made Wither skele and Regular skeleton skins. Will be updated once more mobs are completed.
--
Edit 2: Improved logo SLIGHTLY. Should update soon on the photos above.
--
Edit 3: Working on armor textures (3d textures. Not the item ones.) Once I get the armor items/On-person textures done and a few more mobs, I'll put out an update. Expect one sometime today (7/19/13)

Edit 4:
In my texturing I came up with an idea... Leather armor is going to be Metro-Police armor. The grey tag in the middle of the suit, the shoulder armor and the eye lights will be dye-able. This only comes with one flaw, the flaw being un-dyed armor will have a brown middle tag, brown eye lights, and brown shoulder armor.
Also, gold armor is citizen armor because it has the same exact protection but lower durability than leather. As you would imagine, a generic jean jumpsuit wouldn't last very long in fighting.
