Hello Planet Minecraft, it's me 48productions! Today, I will tell you why deleting files will actually NOT delete them!

Did you know that deleting files won't actually delete them? Well, the more you know.
Anyways, here is why.

A computer stores files in this way: (Massively simplified, and gets to the point!)
My_epik_world, Minecraft Saves - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music

Here is the format:
File 1, Where File 1 is located - File 2, Where File 2 is located, etc.
Dark green text has the data of a certain file, and Light green text shows where this file is located, such as My Music. Same goes for the Blue-ish text. File 2's data, and Where File 2 is located.

Deleting a file makes it look like this:
My_epik_world, Recycle Bin - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music.

As you can see, the file is moved to the recycle bin. When you click "Delete forever" on a file in the recycle bin, it changes it to look like this:
My_epik_world - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music.

You can see that the green text is now gone! The file IS still there, the computer just doesn't know where to put it, hence why you can't find it anymore. That's why when you delete a file, you don't actually delete it. But like a few channels on Youtube, I will continue to go into more depth.

The file can be overwritten at any time if new files are downloaded, or copied over. Then it is really deleted. What is overwritting you ask? Well, here it is:
Super_epik_image.png, My Pictures - ik_world - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music.

It can now be seen that Super_epik_image has overwritten My_epik_world. Parts of the epik world are missing. The Super epik image has just overwritten the epik world.

Special programs can be used to get back the files that haven't been overwritten, that are missing that green text up there. After using the program, things could look like this:
File_Restorer.exe, My Programs - My_epik_world, Recycle Bin - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music.

However, the file recovery program might overwrite the file you want to recover! Then, the file can't be recovered!!! (Intense irony here...)
File_Restorer.exe, My Programs - ik_world - Cool_musicz.mp3, My Music.

On that ironic note, I will end this blog!

Yeah, computers can't remove files without you manually transporting them to another drive. Here's a great video explaining the process of computer deletion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5s4-Kak49o
