End Tower Design:

To improve the dragon battle the biggest Feature are the new Crystal Towers which now come with three better designs on the top and some crying Obsidian parts. There is a design for the two small, the medium and the big obsidian tower. Also the top of the towers will now explode if the crystal is destroyed, with actual blocks being thrown away from the explosion. This is just a cool looking effect which makes the fight more epic. Normally the flying blocks won't land on the ground but you can turn that on in the settings.






Dragon Breath Extraction:

There is now a new way to collect dragon breath after the dragon is dead using its egg. Because water is pretty much the only weakness of the End Mobs including the dragon, the egg is also scared of it. To get the breath you have to fill a cauldron with water and then drop the egg inside it. The water will be removed and you get a cauldron with a dragon breath cloud in it, which you can collect like normal dragon breath using a glass bottle. The cloud will also disapear after one minute.




Better Dragon Fireball animations:

Another visual enhancement changes the way the dragon fireballs looks. They are now sourounded by a particle cloud and will have a new fancy animation at the impact. This feature can be turned of in the settings for better perfomance at low end PCs.




Shulker Structures at end tower:

There will now be some simple structures with shulkers in it at some of the end towers. This will try to prevent you from climb the towers. The shulkers in it are dark purple colored, won't drop anything and will die together with the dragon. This feature can be turned of because it will make the fight actually harder.




Intelligent AI:

You can turn of that the dragon will land on the central structure from time to time, which makes it easier to hit. If this setting is at off the dragon will always be in the air.


The datapack should work with other packs like the Better End Battle ort the Better Ender Dragon pack to get the best end experience.

Spawn Animation:

When spawning the wither you can now actually see how it forms out of the soulsand and the skulls. There will also appear some particles and extra explosions.



Death Animation:

When the Wither is killed it will explode into a bunch of soulsand and the nether star, which is thrown away in a random direction.
This last explosion deals a lot of damage so you shouldn't be nearby. To not lose the nether star in this mess it now has a good visible particle effect.

Better Critical Hits:

You can now increase the damage of a critical hit by choose a higher fall height. When fighting with a heavy type of sword (gold, netherite) you can deal a lot more damage when jumping from a high place. This can be used especially in boss fights but will also be bad for yourself because of the fall damage. This Feature may be not very balanced yet and I'm still working on the system.

Uninstall

You can uninstall and disable the datapack with the following command:

/function commands:better_boss_battles/deinstall
