This project started as a fun side project with my wife to build an English cottage complete with a beautiful garden. As I continued to build the inspiration came to to create an entire plot set in an idyllic English countryside. This map takes inspiration from many regions including Cornwall, the Cotswold's, and southern Ireland, and is not meant to be an exact recreation from anywhere in particular. As the project grew I decided to use this build as a submission for the Nature Mastery rank on the Darwin Reforged Server. I paid special attention to the gardens of the housed and tried to give the area the lush feel of late spring or early summer. The gorse hedges are in bloom, the apple orchard is flowering, and the forest is full of lilies and bluebells. I really enjoyed the detail I put into each area of this build. I hope you will find time to jump on the server and explore this map on your own. There are so many little things to discover. If you are short on time I suggest starting behind the house at the west end of the map and taking the footpath across the small bridge, through the forest and onto the farm road. From there turn right past the ruined church and cross the stone bridge. Then another right turn will take you through the village and back to the house where you began.
