What started as a desire to create a crater-style map quickly turned into this Orcish settlement as I experimented with biomes. It's painted with the hell biome (at least as WorldPainter calls it), which gives the grass that burnt out color and gives the sky a gloomier feel. This location on the rim of the map worked out perfectly for creating a protected settlement/fort area. I'll post more pictures as it nears completion and when it's done I'll post the map. Feel free to comment and please leave a diamond if you like it.
It's done in the Conquest Resource Pack, which gives the mountains that dark look and allows for great variety in crafting the buildings.
Thanks for MonsterFisher for the resource pack

Good job however.
What I think you should improve: I'd like to see it in the default resource pack too, to get a sense of what it actually looks like. Other than that, great job! Diamond and Subscription.
Unfortunately, it looks bland in the default resource pack. A lot of the atmosphere comes from the biome-specific color and the amazing textures that the Conquest Resource Pack offers. The whole inspiration for building it was the look achieved by the resource pack. I understand it can be difficult for people to use a new resource pack and deal with the hassle of installing Optifine but it takes Minecraft to a different level and once you have it installed it's easy as pie to use.
