Idk how ChronoCreeper convinced me to do this........but, I made a drawing tutorial. and if you like this one and want me to do more, ig i will. Also if you have tips on how i should do this, i'll listen, and probably change it as you've told me to do.

so we have this lovely little drawing of Zoey. And i'm gonna show you, Yes you, pay attention now, How to draw her. (or it? cause like, if we're talking about the picture....) also be forewarned, i draw a mix of freehand and whatever the other thing is called. Though i'm not drawing quite as free handed for this one so you'll be able to do it better.

ok, ofc i'm gonna upload the pictures in both Imgur and Postimages bcz i like to make my life harder (and so do the bans)

Postimages
Ok, let's start by acknowledging my beautiful pencil who is my best friend.

Ahehehee Zoey Drawing Tutorial
(and don't judge my desk, if your desk does not look like this you are not an actual artist but a fraud)

Right, first we're gonna draw her head (if you don't draw the head first you're weird) i started by just drawing a circle, then drawing a like going diagonally through the circle and reaching out, and then drew curving lines going down from the circle, connecting at the line, and making the shape of her cheeks and chin (and if the chin's kinda square, dw, mine is too, and we can just touch it up later)
Ahehehee Zoey Drawing Tutorial Ahehehee Zoey Drawing Tutorial
then i drew the neck by making basically an upside down triangle, then drew the sides touched the top of the triangle and sloping out. I then drew her shoulders using were the triangle ends to be were the shoulders start (i saw this method in a youtube short once and now i use it all the time and it helps a ton)

k, now i drew a little bit more of her shoulders, just to get the idea of where they end, and then started on the torso.
i basically just drew her ribcage, so if you draw skeletons a lot, then this step should be easy for you. otherwise you can see what i did, bcz i can't find a way to describe this step. then i drew a line that's the center of her torso (you can see her body is slightly facing her left) then i drew a line so i know how she's bending(?)

woah, and suddenly i drew the whole legs!! alright, so using the line, i drew her hips, and then i just drew sloping lines down to where i drew a circle for her knees, then drew lines coming out of the knees, slopping a lot for the back of her calf on her left leg and then not so much on the front of said leg. then i did pretty chill slopes for her right leg, so i had the side on the outside stick out some more bcz her leg is facing inside. Then i did a simple shape for her right foot, and just so i got the shape for her left foot right, i drew this L shape that you can see, bcz actually, if you look at your foot you'll kinda see that (unless it's just my feet, idk) [disclaimer: I accidently drew the knee on her left leg too low down, so later i fixed it and made it higher)

k, now i'm just adding shaping, having her waist go in more on her right side bcz of how she's posed, and the other side just a smooth curve, guys, don't overdo it. i also added shaping to her chest, and now we're done with the basics of her body.

now we will move on to hands!! I actually love to draw hands, probably bcz i've drawn them so much they rly aren't that hard anymore, but hopefully you guys will be able to copy me. (i do have like, 5 pictures of drawing just one hand basically)

right, so you've probably seen what the thumbnail looks like (idk how you couldn't have) so you know what we're doing with her hands. And if this isn't enough, just put your hand in the pose to understand it better. You don't know how many times i've done that while drawing her XD.

so i started by drawing this shape, this shape that doesn't have a name, but is the shape of a hand and then just drew her thumb. There's so many times when i drew a hand the wrong way, so once i figured out which side her thumb goes on, i drew it so i wouldn't forget. also this can help you get the shape right too, bcz the way the thumbs connected to the part of the had we've drawn. oh, and make sure you draw it in the right place, i drew a circle off her shoulder for which direction her arm is facing and stuff, so use that as a guide.

Then i drew her fingers, having the pointer one be the longest, (bcz it's bent the least) and then the rest being similar heights. Also btw with this arm and hand there's a lot of like, fore shorting (apparently that's what it's called according to copilot) which can be kinda hard, so if you can't get it right right away, it's fine. Just keep trying. I erased like 5 of her arms before i got it right.

k, then finishing this arm, i drew her elbow in a sharp point kinda bcz how it's bent, and then drew her upper arm kinda short bcz it's bent back. Like you can see in the picture. I also finished her back, and you can see how i drew her arm connecting to her torso.

then I drew her other arm. pretty simple, kinda like how i did the legs, only this time i did a more square shape for the joint. and I started on the hand a little bit. then i drew the hand, doesn't look that good, it's holding her blades loosely (or will be soon) I just drew the thumb, then the pointer and middle finger slightly bent, with the pinky sticking out. I didn't draw the ring finger at all, bcz it's bent the most, and you probably would be able to see some of it on the side of her palm, but bcz the blades are going there, I didn't bother.

then i started on the blades in her right hand. I drew three lines for the center of the blades, mine are pretty close together, but you can spread yours out if you want to. then i drew square diamonds (what do you mean that doesn't make sense, it makes sense, ok?) for the base, then started at the corners of the diamonds i drew lines up to where the middle line ends. I also added the tassel laying across her wrist.

and now for the blades in her other hand!! I'm getting tired already
I basically just did the same thing, with the diamonds and lines, though i only drew two blades. And then i drew the tassel against her leg.

now, we draw her hair.

I started drawing lines for her bangs, having them bend so her forehead looks rounded. (plz ignore the eraser bits and my shaky hand) I also drew her ears, just as little rounded things on the sides of her head, you can see them, can't you? Then i connected the lines, and drew her bangs that frame her face. then i drew two rainbow like lines for the top of her head, then drew two curving lines on the sides of her head, ending them with her buns. And i also drew a bumpy line separating her bangs from the rest of her hair. (i did also add some lines on her ears for her earrings, but i didn't get a picture of that step, and it was just a little detail i wanted to add)

now we'll draw her top. I drew two lines for where it starts and ends, you can see where in the picture. (sorry, ig my hand was shaking again) then i drew a thick line for it's zipper path or whatever, and also one on the top bcz there's a black stripe. I also smoothed out the shape of her torso, that's smth i do a lot, bcz my first outline of them isn't gonna be perfect.

it took me awhile to get the way the straps bend right, but bcz you have mine to copy, it should be a little easier for you. also guys, plz add the zipper, little details like that are so satisfying. speaking of details, next i drew a line between the two lines of the 'zipper path' as i named it. I also added the details at the bottom of her top, it was a lot like drawing a belt tbh. while drawing this i also erased the end of her 'zipper path' bcz it's covered up by the belt like details.

then here's my beautiful flower. (did i mention that i'm awful at drawing flowers?) to be fair there wasn't much room left for me to draw it. the straps around her neck also have these belt buckle looking things on each one, so i added that too. It was just an upside down sort of U, and then i line. I also added her pockets, just simple double lines with zippers hanging down. oh, and the like, diagonal stitching lines on either side.
honestly i rly like how her top turned out

k, now on to her pants. i couldn't find a good reference picture, so i was mostly go by memory (i did figure out exactly how her pants work when i made a skin of her, so it wasn't too hard) I started like how i did with her top, by drawing where the waist is and where they end. then i did an outline of the pants, you can just copy how i did it (sorry, i'm rushing bcz my mom's telling me i need to get off, but if i don't finish this today i probably never will)

then I erased the legs, and drew winkle lines for where her knees are, and were her legs actually start.
then draw the uh, things and her keychain tassel. again you can copy mine, and notice how i the one bend like that, making it look like it's wrapping around her (which it is)

and now for the designs. on this side draw this lines, marking off the part that's yellow, but bcz it doesn't wrap around the whole leg, make sure you draw the diagonal lines too. esp on the left leg. then we have the lines, which are basically yellow stitching, the ones start at her hips and slant down the the yellow patch, and then the others give the pants the looks of most normal pants with zippers. (sorry for my shaky hand, again!!)

right, now the pants are done we got her shoes. which i'm not entirely sure how the designs on them go exactly, but i did the best i could (and if you know better, then do it that way)
first i did the outline, they're like, platform sport shoes looking, so make sure to have the heel stick out quite a bit. they also are pretty blocky. and then the designs are smth like this, uh....just copy it's self explanatory, right?

then i also drew her pouch, which i had forgotten about (which is crazy bcz i love that pouch. just draw it on her upper arm somewhere around this area. and it's gonna be behind her blades, so it doesn't have to be perfect (or detailed)

and now for her face!! i was over thinking a lot when drawing her face, but it turned out pretty good actually!
i started with her eyebrows and the top of her eyes, her eyebrows are pretty simple, just think lines that slope a little at the end. and btw i make eyes pretty square, so her eyes are a little bit squared rn. I also drew her mouth, just a smile turned up to the right (her right btw) also her head is slightly tilted down. Then i drew her nose, just the bottom line of it, which i put a little closer to her mouth than her eyes, bcz of her head being tilted down, and i line for the bridge of her nose, which i put closer to the left side of her face, bcz she her head is also slightly turned to the left. i also completed her eyes, just curved lines for her pupils/irises, and also had the outsides turn down some into a little wing. also the lower lid of her right eye is pulled up some more than her left, bcz of the way she's smiling.

then i gave her some light freckles by her nose, and that's her face finished!

Now all we have to do is erase some extra lines, and touch some stuff up!!

and there we go!! is it perfect? no. Is her neck too long? yes, and her knees are still too low down. but that's fine. also i hope i did this well (meaning the tutorial) bcz whenever i tried smth like this, it never went very well. also i didn't rly know how i drew things, bcz i used to only draw freehand. but now i do a mix of both, kinda, idk.

Imgur
ok so actually, unless you can't use postimages, I'm not gonna do it all with imgur links. at least not rn. If you want me to get imgur links, i can, just let me know. (i just rly have to get off before my mom gets rly mad

I like that you’re honest about how you draw and invite feedback, it makes people more likely to engage. Kind of like Slope Rider, it doesn’t overcomplicate things, just jumps in and lets you learn by doing.
