Hello!
Have
you ever heard of the famous texture packs, now called Resource Packs?
Then you tried to install it but you didn't know how? Well bah on the
installers if there even are any, you can do it the manual way! :D
-Installing normal resource packs-
Step 1: Find a resource pack you like. For example, Pastelvision. Find one you like on MinecraftForums, PMC, or any other Minecraft website.
Step 2: Download your pack. Be sure to watch out for malware, virusues, Trojans, and other harmful download. Never download something that doesn't seem right, any toolbars, or if you have a security program on your computer, for example Kaspersky, and it pops up with a bubble or something that tells you, This includes a Virus or something, then just use a program such as CCleaner or the uninstall feature on your computer to remove it. Then you can run a security scan to make sure its removed. Those goodies and free things might seem cool to have, and give you something like, a Free Minecraft giftcard or something, but in reality they are just trying to hack your computer and put viruses on it.
Step 3: Open your start bar. Type in %appdata% where it says Search Programs and files, and you should see a folder called Roaming. Find the .minecraft folder and open it.
Step 4: Open your Downloads folder. Find the pack you downloaded, and open your resourcepacks folder in .minecraft. Drag or Copy and Paste the pack into the resourcepacks folder.
Step 5: Run Minecraft and click the Resource Packs button. There should be the pack you installled on the menu. Click the arrow and then exit the Resource Packs. Run a world or a server, and the pack should be installed.
