Ever wanted a cool avatar. Realistic yet minimalistic? It's a swag way to make professional avatars. Example:
It looks incredible! It takes under 15 minutes!
What you need:
- Paint.NET
- A brain
- Internet Access
You can get Paint.NET at this link: https://www.getpaint.net
First off. Go to: http://achievecraft.com/tools.php
Enter your username in the box that says 'Name:'.
Then hit 'Generate'. You'll see a small icon of you face generate. I'll be making an icon for some random guy named tomicipo. He was #1 on the list there. I'll do him.
That's what we'll be working with. If you just started, and you are gonna make these. I recommend making a human first. Not some Alien from Venus.
Keep the Achievecraft window open. Then open Paint.NET after you downloaded it. Click on the small paper with a green plus sign in the top left corner. Then make the dimensions '1920 by 1920'. The resolution doesn't matter. I keep my resolution at '96.00'. It's clean. Then smack the 'OK' button. Then zoom out a bit.
Key:
CTRL and - = Zoom Out
CTRL and + = Zoom In.
Use the rectangular select tool (in the toolbox). Select the whole picture. Then hit
'Delete'. It should look like this:
Then go back onto Google. Onto AchieveCraft. Find the small head icon. Right click on it and select 'Copy Image'. Not 'Copy Image URL'. Just 'Copy Image'. Go onto Paint.NET and hit 'CTRL + V'. Or press the paste icon if you can find it. C:
Spread the image out while holding SHIFT. If it's blurry. Make a new document it Paint.NET. Make the size 1024 by 1024. Resolution 96.00 Then Paste the head icon in. Zoom Out. Resize. BAM.
Zoom In. Your icon's up and ready. Select the 'Line' tool. It's on the bottom of the toolbox. It shows 2 lines. Set the brush width to 7. Make lines. Then bend 'em using the dots you can drag it around.
This is what I made:
It's okay for the open space. Don't worry
;)
Make sure that there is no open space between lines. You can use mine as a reference picture. Then you select the 'Color Dropper' tool. It looks like a well, eyedropper. Select any color of the hair. Then switch to the bucket tool. It's obvious. Fill the hair spots. Where parts of the skin or eye are. Near the spots you filled in. There would be lines.
To fill in those lines. Select the paintbrush tool. Then color over the lines. I recommend brush size 14 if you have small lines.
Then use the line tool and select the color black. Either using the color wheel or in your palette. Or click on 'More' and adjust the HSVA to Black. Then make lines around the eyes.
Saving it all up.
Click on 'File'. Then 'Save As'. Then save it anywhere you want. Have fun from there on!
