I've played Minecraft for 8 years and 100-something days. I've enjoyed my time with the game, made friends, met amazing people, and even met one of my best friends and one of my girlfriends.
I remember my dad installing Minecraft on my iPad (which wasn't even mine, it was my mom's). I fell in love with the game and started paying for marketplace maps, which were the only popular maps at the time.
I then started liking the hardcore gamemode. When I first heard about it, I had many attempts at this minigame, but it's what made me good at the game. I learned from my mistakes, even though it sometimes cost me hours or even days of my life.
After that, I started playing on servers like Mineplex. A few of those servers have shut down today, but I still remember how much fun I had. I met a lot of my friends on those servers, some of whom I still play with today. One of them is 58techboy, one of my best friends and the reason I can develop servers today.
At this point, I had been playing the game for about 4 years. Then, everything changed for the better. I started making YouTube videos, but they didn't take off (I'm not a good creator). I met some interesting people, including Erikthecool, who taught me Java PvP. At first, I sucked, but I started learning jump resetting, aiming, w tapping, and combos. Thanks to Erik, I'm a HT3 sword, axe, netherite, and UHC player, which means I'm ranked 97th in the world.
After becoming a HT3, I got bored of Minecraft and took a break for many months. When I came back, I started practicing PvP again, but the whole meta had changed, as well as many features in the game. I also found a new hobby: developing servers. I've been working on a server called Hypedcraft for over a year, and it's cost us over $600 to make and run. I'm also learning how to code!
During this time, I even met my girlfriend. Unfortunately, we're no longer together, but I still think about the moments we had loving this game.
Thanks to Minecraft, I've made friends, learned things, met someone important to me, and learned a lot about the real world. I'm excited to meet up with my best friend 58techboy in a year or two.
