One thing I have been asked is, how do I add powerlines to my Minecraft Projects? What mods do I use? Well, I mainly use 1.7.10 for the mods to do these sort of things as the mods are more available. There is several ways of doing it, mods and without mods. For example my latest city project, Lantone City. I am going to be transforming it from this:
to something like this:
Well, ok, adding powerlines to a project isn't just as simple as just using one mod. You have to improvise with several mods...
The mods I am going to use to show how to add powerlines will be a mixture of several mods.
One of the most easiest ways is using netherrack fence/wooden fence and Immersive Engineering mod. Though you won't get the very best out of a powerline like this way, but it can still be done like this, just means imagination would have to come a bit more far-fetch.
But if you improvise, and go for more mods to help, you could change it to maybe something like this
The mods I use mainly for powerlines is RealTrainMod for Insulators and Wires, Lattice Mod and Garden Stuff mod for the cross bars where the fence is for the poles, Immersive Engineering or Monoblocks for the transformers, as well as custom textures from the texture pack for some blocks. Do bare in mind though that RealTrainMod does only have one model of insulators, and 3 different insulators, so you may have to again imagine on how you want to do it, but good thing is, you can make the powerlines in your project to be your own design, or can look like from other countries around the world...

Hope this here has been helpful to some, if not, most of you guys.
REMEMBER WHEN DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING FORGE: ALWAYS USE THE RECOMMENDED VERSION
AND NEVER RE-POST SOMEONE ELSE'S MODS WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER OF THE MODS!
And do not ask for the links of the mods that I have mentioned in this blog. Google can be more useful than me, and I can suggest for you to search Google!
