“Sap (Saphire) has always been the one who took the “incidents” the hardest. Getting her leg sawed off and stitched back in again while awake is torture, not to mention she didn’t get anything to stop the bleeding while they tested it. She became convinced that no one could save her. We were in separate cells, so none of us could talk to her. When we finally got out, she was the one who killed all the scientists. It was brutal. Afterwards, she laughed maniacally for a week straight. She’s better now, at least on the surface. A capable leader. She’s become very protective of those who show her kindness, which is basically all of Starloe. I think they give her hope. Hope that she can be saved. Saved from whatever shithole her mind is in right now. Soon she’ll be looking for a mortal to help rule Starloe. I really hope she finds someone who can fix her mental state. All of us do.”
