Hello fellow server owners/ops, im writing this post to warn you about the force op hack. Im not sure if someone has already written about so here it is anyway.
What is the Force Op hack?
The force op hack is a hack players use to gain op on your server.
How does it work?
A player will try to convince you to join there server for some reason. If you join their server they use your session id to op themselves on your server. This can allow them to grief and use plugins such as world-edit to utterly destroy your server.
Signs of a force op hacker
1. Asking you to join a server.
2. Possibly multiple people joining at the exact same time and asking suspicious questions.
How to prevent it
1. De-op all mods and only allow owners to be ops.
2. Make All owner/ops aware of the hack. (try sending them to this post)
3. Don't join suspicious servers.
4. Use your common sense.
Im writing this post because my server has been Force Op hacked recently when our mods were unaware of the hack.

For my issue, I had an admin join their server, causing the hack to spill onto my server.
So please-- please please:
DONT JOIN SERVERS PEOPLE WANT YOU TO TEST!!!
I'm now cleaning up a bit of mess that was left here. Luckily it will only take an hour, but its better then starting a new map. Please diamond this blog. Tell everyone you know.
