So here is a way i found out how to make your brightness 1000% better so you can see in the dark!
NO MODS! :D
1. Go to %appdata%
2. Find .minecraft
3. Find your Options Text Document
4.Find your Gamma (Usually 3rd or 5th one down)
5. now make it 1000.0
Launch/Restart Your Minecraft and ENJOY!
This is NOT a mod just making that clear, Minecraft added it to the game and allows you to mess/change the features of that
