This May Sound Like A Perfect Idea, HOWEVER! Although I Built Mine Under An Ocean, It Seems That Some Player Comes Along With Their X-Ray Texture Packs And Dig To It. What I Would Recomend, Is Hollowing Out An Area Behind The Walls Of Your House, And Spaming It With Lava Buckets. Therefore Their Texture Packs Will See It As A Lava Source, Therefor They Will Simply Keep Walking.
