can servers update to 1.8!???

so the owner said the map is getting reset after minecraft updates. theres supposto be no way to upsate the server to 1.8. i was like thats not true man but hes gonna do it. my pixel art castle town everything will be gone! does anyone know if there is a way to update it? ive been looking it up but havent found anything about it. please tell me before the world is goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o. there better be a way to pinkcreative.no-ip.org

Oh dear! I can't get on much. it keeps on saying can't reach server and its super laggy! Delete the comments with the ip ! Owner said so! Comment fro the fungi to see

its going down for awhile whenever we log in it laggs out. hew waiting until bukkit 1.8 comes out now :3

and the server im normally on is http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/taintedcraft-179190/ the ip is 24.209.44.176:25565 but it keeps going off and on :s
