CHAPTER THREE: THE MARKET
People ran around like headless chickens and there were headless chickens with butchers chasing them. I take a look at the list first before I venture any further. It read:
A DOZEN EGGS
PAIL OF MILK
SOME GROUND WHEAT
PICK UP IRON SWORD FROM BLACKSMITH
128 ARROWS
BEEF+MUTTON+CHICKEN
A BAG OF COAL
PS. IF YOU WANT YOU CAN GET YOURSELF SOMETHING. THERE IS PLENTY OF COIN.
I fold the list and shove it back into my pocket. The first stall I got to is the butcher to get the meat and milk. The mill is next to that so I pick up some. The sun is setting as I stroll through the town I walk to the blacksmith to pick up the sword and arrows. o Shouldn't you be closing up and heading home?o I ask. o What for?o He answers with a question. o Well its almost night the monsters will be out soono As soon as I finish my question he lets out a hearty laugh. o There hasn't been monsters in these part for yearso I take the sword and arrows and pick up an iron breastplate, thank him then walk away. I take a look at the setting sun and instinct tells me to get into my house but the blacksmith said there were no monsters at night. Torches illuminate the paths through the town. I take a seat on the bench and watch the sun set. I set off back to Lizzy's house to return the goods but as I turn I hear a scream coming from that direction. I strap into my Armour unsheathe my sword and run in that direction.
