Names! Many things can depend on your name. For an example, your name can help out with a first impression or make it bad. That comes to my main point of this blog. Should we, minecrafters, be allowed to change our name? My opinon: Yes! It should be possible for a name change. But why, you ask? There's many reasons!

Nooby Days: Your minecraft account could have been bought while you were younger and not so great at making up the best of names. For an example, your name could be CreeperAwesomeness189. That name seemd so awesome (hence the 'awesomeness' part) when you were 7. Now, you facepalm for being so bad at names.

But I Liked It Then: This does fall under the same category as Nooby Days but it is slightly different. You liked this name so much! It was your favorite character from a book/movie/videogame. Looking at it now, not so great. For example, my name! Clarrisa_34. My name isn't even Clarissa! It's Sophia! Clarissa is from my favorite book series and the 34? My favorite numbers. I was so bad at names.

I Found It: You found the perfect name! You looked up to see if anyone else had it and nobody does. Everything is perfect. Except, you don't want to buy another Minecraft and lose all your stats on your original account. Ugh! Yeah, that's how I feel too.

Now that my reasons are stated, here are the problems:

BANNED...again?: New names, new problems! You banned someone from your server because they were griefing. Oh look a new player! Doesn't seem I have them on the ban list. Sadly, that's the same griefer with a new name. Oh no! *More banning*

*Click Click Click*:  People could start abusing the name changing! For example, your enemy is always changing their name! So now how will you know who to trust with your diamonds or not? There should be restrictions on the name changing.

The disadvantages can outweigh the reasons I gave but there is hope! Here's what they can do to fix these problems:

Make It Rain, Mojang: There should be an amount of money that needs to be payed so you could change your name. Nothing outrageous like the amount of money the game itself cost but still enough to have trolls be wary of how much money they have left in their little piggy bank.

It's Under 9,000!: The amount of times people change their name should be limited to about 3 or 5. This will keep the confusion of who's who under control.

Tick Tock: When people change their name, they test it out to see if they enjoy people calling them it. And then there are people who immediately regret naming themselves 'TooCoolForSchool'. That's why there should be an amount of time until you can change it again. Mabey 72 hours?
